My only concern with adding sharks has nothing to do with sharks.  There are already soooo many categories adding another makes getting them all filled even harder.  I am up for a challenge, but it would be nice to have enough room in the calendar to just goof off too.

How do you keep them straight enough to measure with out doing some damage?
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Now there's a reasonable question.

I vote for adding sharks because over the last year I watched and read numerous reports of folks on this board having a ball fishing thresher, leopards, and sevengill. The way our lives are set up late fall and winter fishing can add days on the water and potential points for someone who can't get out and fish 3 or more days a week.

Do you HAVE to catch ONE of EVERY SPICIES to QUALIFY at the end?

Mike~ Sharks are TOUGH as nails! and turn their head around and bite your hand that's grabbing their tail!and then snake-like,once you get them out of the water.  It will take care and patients and a possible buddy when huntin for the SHARKS.  Oh Boy! this is gonna be COOL!!

and they're fat and bitting right now!!  51" hooked weds. in backyard(hercules pier / Sudmucker Ed)

You do not have to catch every species but it sure helps. Mooch caught everyone last year to win, Freddie missed one and lost.

I think it might be hard to photo a shark with a measurement on the water for release though. Chuck had a real hard time at the paddlefest trying to measure them on a  boat. I would hate to have people killing sharks just to get the points. I am going to be pretty strict on the measurement rules this year...
