Glad everyone is okay...20'  :smt119  was my initial reaction too.

Seems Hobies, Globally, are the sharks choice.

You have global stats you can share with us?  I'd think in that neck of the woods the sharks choice is whatever is floating above it.

Number of NCKA'ers hit by sharks whike kayaking= 3

NCKA'ers hit by lightning, or a semi on the way to the coast= O

can we put the old "odd's are..." thing to rest, finally?

I'm glad you guys are OK.  The one comforting thing is noone has gotten hurt in any of our incidents.

I wish I could say I was surprised, but I'm not :smt009.

I'm REALLY glad you guys are OK. It is a serious place, and the seriousness increases the deeper into the fall shoulder season you get.

I've become much more conservative in my fishing since my little encounter, and that fish didn't even touch my yak.

Was thinking,,,     I'd have to  just toss my shorts into the nearest trash bin after something like that.

Glad the landlord only got a mouth full of plastic....again... I said it before, I'll say it again. I went out there one time a few years ago, and the place just gave me the creeps. Never went back. No point going if your not comfortable. Sure glad you guys made it out ok.

"Seems Hobies, Globally, are the sharks choice. " He's an Ocean Kayak rep. What can you say. Maybe there's more hobies on the water too... Who knows what evokes an attack. More than anything, wrong place wrong time HAS to play the biggest part...
