i think that is close enough, and people can jump in, anytime in the year. Is everyone good with the species list? i will start another thread for pictures of fish and leader board, hope everyone has fun and some great fish will be caught, and others learn some new fly techniques and even maybe some fly tying, cameron

Thanks guys, hopefully this will help some who are new to fly fishing and those of us lapsed long rodders, due to the maddness of kayak kishing,  to get back to throwing the longrod for some old and some new species, cameron

Add me to the list.

For flies I will tie my personal all time favorites:
black wiggle tail - my go to stillwater fly
size 2 bluegill clouser - delta striper pattern
grey and white swim bait - lmb pattern
frog snot - size 8 trout streamer, it is a killer
silver dry - small dry made for water like the Silver fork
Bloody Maria - my buddy Jeff Ching's killer shad fly
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Having never participated in an AOTY, is the main idea to post the biggest fish of each species you catch in a day?  Not how many but just your biggest for that day, right?  And I can post as many different species I catch in the same day, right?

So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

scott, its the largest of the species you catch, not the quantity, so you catch a 20in trout in february, but dont catch another trout the rest of the year larger than 20in, then thats your score for trout for the year, you dont post every fish, just an upgrade, does that make sense? cameron

So only one fish for each species will give you points for the whole year.  Gotcha ya, I was hoping it was the biggest fish from each species every day.
