Hobie Kayaks / Rudder drum fell apart otw

After about 1.5 years, had my first rudder issue on the OB yesterday. Luckily, it fell apart right before exiting the jaws at HMB. When I turned around to see why my steering wasn't working, I saw the the drum of the rudder split in two! Pulled out my paddle and steered myself to a beach to take a look. I found the big bolt that holds the drum together had backed itself out. The only reason I didn't loose any parts was due to the specctra line running through the bolt. I'm not sure how long the bolt has been slowly working its way out, but I did noticed my steering having more tension the past couple of months. I had my Leatherman tool, so I used the pliers and did my best to tightened the bolt with the plastic cap in place (marked it up good). Tested it, and it worked but was worried that the line weakened from rubbing on the threads when the bolt was not in place. I wasn't planning on going too far due to this incident, but the salmon urge was strong. Peddled about 8+ miles without any issues. I haven't inspected it yet at home, but depending on what I find, I may replace that line just to be safe. Have any of you guys had this bolt issue before? Will blue loctite be a good idea to keep that bolt from backing out?
