1. Jedmo & son enjoying the bonfire with Sean

2. Mooch, Troy (Jprtroy), Eric (Alfredo's son), Juan (Mako1), and Naoaki soaking in the precious heat

3. Paige (Schoolie) with one of her buddies...their smiles were brighter than the flames.

Sean...Leah...thanks for staging the shindig...had a great time...my body is sore as heck...but it was all worth it, even with the raindrops.

Congrats to all the winners !! Many thanks to Sean for making BAM happen and to all that participated and braved the weather conditions  :smt023

Had a blast meeting new NCKA'ers and catching-up with those I don't get to see very often :smt006

As far as fishing, I managed a 5 + pound striper on Saturday and caught another one on Sunday - also caught 5 SMB - 15 to 17 inch range (2 on a zoom fluke and 3 on minnows) All fish were caught and released.

What a fun time!  Thanks to all who participated.

Just as I finished setting up my EZ-up canopy the raindrops began to fall Friday morning...  and it pretty much kept coming down til Sat night.  The rain didn't keep us down though, since we were all in waders and paddle tops anyhow, and there were plenty of tarps up.

Friday I didn't catch anything, only had one bite.
Saturday I caught a smallie that was less than 2", too bad the weigh-in boat was off the water.
Sunday was my favorite day...  no, I still didn't catch anything but I got to tag along with Sean, Fishunter, and Guitarzan, and we later hooked up with Fishin Jay, Theresa, and Jim...  It was great to be right there to see Jim, Theresa, Adam, and Sean hooking up in front of me as proof that there were fish around, and it was a nice tour of a handful of likely fish holding areas.  Just for future reference, you know.

Random highlights:

-The smoked salmon candy, Killer!

-Bens fattie cattie, what a monster!

-The awesome beer, thanks, Sean!

-Comic moment of the weekend was upon hearing the puppy crying bloody murder around potluck time, someone called out, "I don't want any of what he's making!"

 :smt010

I wish I could have made it this year.  Looks like everyone had a great time despite the weather. Actually fishing in the rain is my new normal now here in Portland.

Congratulations to Mike, Dan and Freddie.  I'm also glad to see Dustin finally got a buckle for his BAM I win.

* On another note : The Boyz got together and nominated Melissa for having "the sexiest fishing voice" on the entire VHF 69 radio frequency :smt007 CONGRATULATIONS MELISSA  :smt002

Thanks guys.  I'm very flattered. :smt004  I dont think I had much competition though.  There was no other female kayak angler with a radio out there, was there?    I love how you guys voted anyways!  Thats awesome!  =)

Hmmm...  I guess a guy's voice could be sexy too, at least from my point of view. =)

 :smt012 :smt009 :smt010 :smt013

Only thing I caught was "The Skunk"  No hit's, (Bottom felt like a hit though)  I had a little wiggle on the rod, almost got excited, but then realized it was only my hyper minnow.  (Bummer)

It was nice to see those I've met befor, and to meet new NCKA'ers.  Maybe next year I'll hook a striper.  I do have some pictures but running out of time today. I'll post them later.
