There’s exactly zero chance that the old nick will be forgotten. Might as well own it and wear it.

Fair enough.  Ill change it back.

Hah,  There are not very MANY fish in Santa Cruz.  But,  now that I have a kayak, and a name they need to take serious they have all been put on warning!   :smt003

One of my dad's favorite shirts back in the day was "Women want me, fish fear me" haha! Wish I still had that as a good memory of him!

There's definitely a fish under THIS rock....

Congrats man!! That thing looks sick. I must admit I've been Hobie curious for a while now. I sold both my yaks in January to make ends meet but I am planning to buy a new yak in Feb/Mar. Looking forward to hearing your experience on the new Outback.

2019 Outback!   So freakin pumped.  Had to take a loan out on the WAF account as all the brewing gear hasnt sold yet,  but so far so good.  Totally worth it.

I am waiting on some gear to arrive now so I can actually go use it.  I even had to borrow my buddies truck because I didnt have a way to transport it safely.  Hopefully by this weekend I will be outfitted and ready to rock.

How are you storing your outback when not in use?

Right now it is on a a couple temporary saw horse like stands.  I bought a hoist to put it up against the ceiling in my garage.  Hopefully I will get to installing that over the thanksgiving break.

Hoists are good since they're space savers, just hated/hate taking them down and moving cars around in the garage - if you can deal with the constant setup and take down (and not having to shuffle cars) you'll probably like them.  I use hoists for the kayak(s) I don't take out much but want to keep my new outback on the trailer in the garage so I can just hook up to the car and drive off.

If storing it on a trailer was an option, that would be my first choice.  But, I dont have a trailer, and I need the floor space in my garage.  I dont park in it though,  so I dont have car issues to deal with.
