We can't match that Marlin so I guess you will have to settle for 20# lingcod, 50+# White Sea Bass, 35 or 50+# California or Pacific Halibut, 35+# Salmon and some oversized Sturgeon in the 70+ inch range.  :smt003
From what I've seen on both websites and a couple kaykak fishing trips in Maui and Kauai. The potential for big fish is greater, but we seem to catch more fish overall.
You will trade Tigers for Great Whites and shorts for wetsuits or drysuits. Because the cold water conditions here are much less forgiving of error we look out for eachother OTW. NCKA Ohana. Looking forward to fishing with you.

In the game of biggest fish, if you can't enjoy routinely gettin' your ass handed to you, by great fishermen, then you don't belong in the NCKA.

howzit everyone,
Thanks for the love.

The cold water immersion clip on this site was a trip.  Glad I watched it.

I run a startup and am trying to move the team to SF.  We no more chance if we stay put.

Yep, John at Go Bananas has some pics of me but most of them are of my tournament partner, Da Hammah.

Probably going leave the Scupper behind and pick one up here.  I like to go diving too so that seems to work pretty well.

All the species here sound fun and exciting.  New adventures :)

Some n00b questions if you guys don't mind:

1) How often do you folks run into GWS?  Seems like it would be quite a trip to see one.  Gotten up close with a couple tigers back home, they can get pretty big but nowhere near a GWS.

2) Am planning to live in the city.  How do people store their yaks living in SF?  Do they store em somewhere else?
