Wanted To Buy / NEED AN OUTBOARD! 70hp-90hp
« on: October 21, 2018, 06:58:00 PM »
Just blew my engine last week and I'm in need of a replacement.  I would prefer an E-tec 75hp, but I'll entertain any newer used outboard that will fit my needs.  Please let me know if anyone has one for sale or know of one for sale.  Thanks!

Good, hopefully some antibiotics will fix you right up!  If the symptoms get worse though, or if you get a fever, just go in.

Nope, never sold in the US.  I believe the only markets were Japan, Australia, and new zealand.  Back when it was made it was called the "Hilux Surf" but they were only right hand drive.  This one is an engine swap from the same japanese model into an american truck.  It'll definitely be an interesting project learning to work on it.

Haha!  Yeah it should be fun!  The jeep was already registered here so that was easy.  I'm picking the 4runner up in Oregon so it might be a different story but we'll see.  It's pre-97' and legally registered as a diesel vehicle on the title, so it should be a simple out of state transfer...

Yeah, those engines are impressive!  I preferred my Liberty CRD though.  Got 27mpg towing my big ass camper trailer once.  It blew a head gasket and I don't want to fix the damn thing so I'm selling both and getting a 4runner with a Japanese 1kz-te diesel engine in it...  Plenty to tow the boat, plus it gets over 30mpg.

Yeah I feel ya.  The 12 valve is a better engine, especially with the mechanical pump.  I'm surprised how nice this one is though, I just don't need it!

I'm an RN.  Sounds like you might have a fairly serious infection.  Has the redness/swelling/fever gotten worse?  Do you have any small red lines travelling up your arm from the original site(elbow)?  If so I would advise going to the ER as soon as possible as this small infection may have progressed to sepsis.  Sepsis can happen when the bacteria from a local infection get into the bloodstream.  The treatment for which is typically intravenous (IV) antibiotics.

What to expect when you go to the ER/doc;
They will of course take your vitals (blood pressure, pulse, temperature), draw blood from your arm for regular labs and blood cultures.  The blood cultures will be taken from 2 different sites, so expect to be poked at least twice.  If the elbow has any kind of open wound, they will swab it and test for bacteria.  They will likely take an x-ray of the elbow, and possibly a CT scan or MRI to look at the tissue in more detail.  They will also start an IV to give you some fluids and antibiotics, and hopefully a little morphine ;) .

Good luck!  Hope it's something simple and not too serious.

General Talk / Marketing - Calling all business owners!
« on: September 10, 2018, 03:40:33 PM »
I've been doing advertising for my father's new business and have enjoyed it so much I decided to start my own Marketing Company!  I am specializing in targeted facebook ad campaigns for local and online businesses.  We've all seen the "sponsored" posts while scrolling through Facebook, but when properly targeted to a specific audience, those ads can be extremely effective in driving customers to your business or website.  If you or anyone you know might be interested, shoot me an email on my website; https://www.sonomacountyadvertising.com

Thanks everyone!

Thanks guys!  I've seen the current CL ads and continue to search them.  I want something light, fast, and extremely capable, which is why I decided on a RIB.

Wanted To Buy / WTB: RIB 18'-20'
« on: April 28, 2017, 03:54:05 PM »
Hey guys, I've been looking for a nice RIB around 18-20 feet.  I've found a few here and there but keep getting screwed out of the sale by quick buyers.  My budget is around $10k (unless there's something I can't pass up ;).  Please PM me if you know of anyone wanting to sell.

Thanks!
