You read my mind.  I am thinking Fort Ross with my whole gang too.  I also don't know where to camp.  I did look at the Stormsurf, and if I read that right it seems there will be a reasonably calm period this Wed am, June 23.  I guess the weekend looks similar, maybe just a little more wind.  I have the luxury of not being employed during summers so I can go nearly anytime between odd jobs.

kayakjack is right the Fort Ross Park is closed through June 30th, http://www.fortrossstatepark.org/closure.htm.  Bummer, don't know what to do now.

Its a last minute decision, but we are re-routing to Trinidad, flatter water and half the wind, and maybe whales.  Same distance as Fort Ross for me.
