Crabfest 2019 will be taking place on 01/26/19.
If you reserve a campsite it is best to book 1/25, checking out on 1/27. That way you don't have to check out during the event.
Here is the link to book a site: http://sonomacountycamping.org/Index.asp

65-66-67 are good large sites we have 68-70. Family friendly loop at end of Cove camp area. EZ water access in Harbor (threw our site #70, Over the dune and down to the water 20'?) Quick paddle out to ocean (outgoing tides rock! ) and lots of food. Not the Jetty, but nice camp spots. Loudish 'cause we like to play cards and grandchildren and beagles, just are.... :smt005
-
Loud grandkids and Beagles (I have one) are one thing but loud generators constantly running are really annoying. There was one in particular that sounded like a biplane idling in their campsite up until I finally fell asleep. Thankfully they did not stay Saturday night. Please understand the rest of the campground may like a little peace by the campfire or may want to get some sleep to get up early for the crab.
-
We do not use, or condone the use of generators while camping.... :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

Well i was one of them, one of my batterys was jacked. my camper would last like 15-20 mins before shutting down. I heated up my camper HOT before going to bed every night, i made the call. Got home and one battery would only charge to 15%. Replaced both with redoing all the connections. Camper is back and running

Same here the first night my batteries died at two in the morning and it was freezing. I had to run my generator for 8 hours for it to have a charge to last through the night. But then again that’s why I run a little Honda so it’s as quiet as possible for a generator

I can sleep through anything.

Me too, but it bothers the wife... We do a No electronics thing while camping and our trailer is small, we use a lot of blankets to stay warm. what others do is up to them. glad you found the batteries were the problem texas, can't wait to get out to play again!

Those weren't generators that was keeping you up. It was us snoring I mean purring from the Jetty Campground! :smt005

Love my Honda generator and ran it all day! It's pretty quiet, but does rev up a little when I make coffee. :smt003 I also dislike construction generators in camp grounds, but as long as they are used after 8am and before 10pm, I'm good.
-
I'm hooked. Camp ground reservation's booked for 2019 .
-
Site 124 came open and I grabbed it! Had a quick question though, it says it's got 10' of overhang on the back, anyone know how accurate that is? My trailers 35' hoping it'll fit.
-
Crabfest is almost 3 months away.
We are always looking for donations for the raffle, if anybody has any connections with kayak fishing gear companies.
I got the logo and will hopefully be posting it next month with registration information.

The site I had I was able to park my 29' rv and my Jeep in the same spot. Their spot measurements seem to be pretty accurate to me.
-
Site 95!!!!
-
Site 84! I'm in! Woohoo!
-
Site 94 looking forward to my first crabfest!!

Thanks! I guess we'll see what happens, it's supposed to be a 27' site with 10' overhang and the trailer is 35'.
If anyone happened to grab a 40' site and doesn't want it let me know!
Can't wait for this year!
-
As of right now, site 83 is open for anyone who still needs a spot!
-
Booked site #83. This will be my first Crabfest - Looking forward to it!
-
:smt005 Cancellations right and left! They must have heard we're coming! Can't wait to see everyone! :groupwave

So since I lucked out and grabbed a site, is there a registration for crabfest or is it just raffles? I've never been to an NCKA event and I don't want to be the noob that missed out. I was already told to bring food for the potluck by Mike, thanks Mike! Any other tips for a noob?
-
Is there gonna be a perch category this year?
If so, I'm your huckleberry!
-
Not sure what that means but I will be your Huck Finn! :smt001

Welcome to your first NCKA event, this is definitely a great way to meet the group. I will be posting registration at the start of next month. There is a raffle that benefits www.dyf.org and anybody can participate in that. More information to come.

I am hoping to have the perch category again. It is always nice to have the option of catching a perch.

If anyone is going to cancel and have a site in the jetty campground please message me. Trying to work it out so we can make it out for this years event.
-
Looks like we got a spot lined up we will be in site 93.
:blob8:

Site 61! There is still site 115 open on the hetty, but its disabled accessible so I left it open. If anyone wants to split my site it'll just be me and the dog. Maybe the kiddo, but not sure.
-
Still got site 124, but checked it out last weekend and I'm not thinking my trailer will fit, if anyone has a bigger site and doesn't mind trading let me know! If not we'll figure it out :smt044
