I see your j-racks are facing inward instead of outward. Is that a tactical decision? (e.g., less likely to fall off during transport..?)

I'm betting it's cuz they look cooler from the side view almost a little Star Trekish.

PK, I load boats by sliding them up the middle of the lumber rack then climbing up and placing them into the J racks. It gives me more usable work space for more boats or boards. I can load and secure 4 fishing SOTs with the J racks angled out.

Have we decided what the fastest kayak we cant buy anymore is?
Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

I have never seen a SOT with out peddles that can come close to the speed or glide of my stealth. But my wife has a 17' 35 lb. N.C. kayak made in Washington. That can walk away from me when ever she wants to. But I wouldn't fish out of it.

Holy feather weight! Is that the NC17 Competition model?

Which boat really is the faster?
The 100 yard, static to panic sprint.

Thought it might be interesting to see what boats are believed to be the quickest before
we find out on the water.

The Scupper Pro tw
14'9" long    26" wide     55#s

Tarpon 160i
16' long    28" wide        68#s

Freedom 15
15'1" long     29" wide    64#s

RTM Disco
14' long   25.5" wide    50#s

Hobie Adventure (paddled)
16' long     27.5" wide    76#s

Malibu Express*  (Still working to locate one and may have to substitute with a 4.4)
12'6" long   27" wide      55#s

Going to start documenting in the spring but trying to synchronize the schedules of the paddlers, flag girls, and the availability of the different boats could be challenging. It might take most of the summer to finish and then some time after to edit the video.
The primary motivation is to get stronger and faster in some classic boats, but it might get interesting when these boats are tested against each other.

If serious about locating an express.. I may be able to get you in the hands of one!

Yes, Im still interested in finding the Express.
We have already substituted it with a 4.4 and it has been eliminated, but I still want to paddle one and see if its faster than a 4.4 and may want to add one to my quiver.

The RTM Disco has also been eliminated.
