So, maiden voyage was awesome!!! Thing handled like a dream! GET IT WITH RUDDER!!!! I am so dang happy with it! Stable and after 5 hrs strait in the kayak. Hopped out feeling rested and no soreness at all. Love the front hatch! Left my fish on Ice for 4 hrs until I got home... I'm going to insulate the lid with styrofoam to keep it colder in there (black lid in sun = heat...) 150% satisfied!!!!!

That was a great looking Kayak! Probably on the top of my list as it is just meant to be fished and dived hard. Great color combo as well. I love the color you chose.

What size do you have now? 240 should be fine for that boat. My 240 is maybe 10 too long on my Tarpon. I am getting a 230 this year when I can for the Tarpon. I will use the 240 on the Thresher.

How does this one stack up to a tarpon 160 speed wise?? Any fatigue after paddling it all day? I used to get beat paddling my T15 and T13 but did 8 miles in my T160 no problem. Only drawback is I love center storage but don't want to sacrifice too much speed.

Thanks for the review!

Matt

I am a veteran 160 paddler. That is about all I paddle. I still have two. I just got the Thresher 140 and will report on it too. I will paddle Ron's soon and give honest and complete feedback between the two. Possibly next week if I can talk Ron into it.
