Hello fellow kayakers thanks for the acceptance.

My name is Noe. I have recently purchased a kayak and have been determined to start slaying some fish and learning the art of kayaking. The surf has been good to me but its time to move forward and take my next step with fishing. So any tips or advice will be highly appreciated. Any how a little about myself, I am 26 with a growing family. I work in the Mental Health Field, and I fish as much as possible even if its only for 20 minutes. Looking forward to see some of you guys out there.
I ain't as good as i once was, but I'm as good once as i ever was.

Welcome!

Feel free to post up some of your surf reports, as well!

Welcome!

Hmmm.... tips....

- Get yourself a good, comfortable PFD and wear it. Always.

-If you're planning to kayak in the ocean or Bay, get yourself a wetsuit or dry suit. "Dress for immersion".

-Get yourself a good waterproof handheld VHF radio, and learn to use it. Keep it leashed to yourself (NOT leashed to your kayak).

- HAVE FUN!

Welcome to the Madness!  We'll be hanging out at the Alameda Rockwall Tourny next week if you want to come out, make new kayak fishing friends, and slay some halibut.  Feel free to PM me with any questions and looking forward to fishing with you!

+1.  Good to meet a bunch of crazies, plus nothing beats checking out people's setup in person (yak, gears, rigs, etc).
