Welcome, NSJ. But, you're going to have to post some fish porn before you'll have any credibility...

Hi Jason Welcome aboard!

I hope you don’t mind if I jump right in with a question for you.

Do you think we will be able to put a navionics chip in a Garmin someday? I love my Garmin chhartplotter but the navionics charts are a little better detail wise for exploring new reefs and prospecting for new rockfish spots.

I remember reading that Garmin bought Navionics which made me hopeful that the two would interface at some point.

Thanks in advance,
-Eliot

Elliot,
I apologize for just now responding to your question, the Tapatalk App is proving to be crap, lol. Navionics was bought by Garmin but I'm not sure when the two will become compatible, I've been asked this question a lot and I wish I had a better answer for you.

No worries I’ve researched a bit but figured if anyone would know it would be you. Having had Lowrance products before I found the Garmin charts/fishfinder and interface to be easier and more intuitive. I hope the navionics charts are available soon.

Thanks for answering my question.

I think it's going to happen soon. As with any corporate transition, it'll take time.

Jason-

I need to renew my Navionics subscription.  I downloaded the latest web app, followed the instructions, and it looks like my Navionics+ west is not available?  It is trying to sell me all of Alaska, Canada, Hawaii, Continental USA and northern Mexico for 99 euro (!).

Do I need to buy all of that and in euro, or can I buy Navionics + west in US dollars like I originally had.
