Forgot to say that I like my Kraken 13. Not the best paddler, but it’s better than the Cuda. It feels like a lot of boat while OTW though. I would’ve guessed wider than the spec’d 30.5” because it is incredibly stable...its really the only kayak I’ve owned that I feel totally comfortable standing in/on. As always, welcome to borrow it.

you still in the air saving lives?

always thought I wanted that job till I sat in your seat once,,,

Im still flying but I changed machines.  I hit the 3000 completed missions mark and decided to move on from the helicopter work and over to a fixed wing program. I think I have 5 or so years left in me and then Ill move on to something else. Still enjoying it though.
Hope you are enjoying Sebastopol. I miss that west county lifestyle but the Eastern Sierra is amazing.

Thanks PK, I hope to take you up on that offer. The original Kraken prototype felt like a lot of boat too.
Ive been told that a rudder is kind of necessary to bring those boats to their potential.
Does the Kraken 13 chair elevate like the Coosa?

Almost "forgot"      I hope you enjoyed Sundays win.   That one hurt

Disregard the elevating chair inquiry.  I found my answer.
The Kraken 13.5 is going to happen.

Well, take good care of it. The 15.5 is discontinued.

After making my decision on my next fishing boat, I needed to find a dealer. I am just about equal distance in opposite directions from Sierra South Mountain Sports and Lake Tahoe Kayak Rentals.  I have calls out at both and just waiting to hear back.
Wanted to thank Sin Coast, Charles, and 3jM for the info and wisdom shared. I needed to be reminded that this boat is for fishing and I will need to sacrifice some performance for some qualities that make fishing more enjoyable.
The Kraken 13.5 will be the second boat that I have recently ordered. The Scupper 14 will be the performance SOT in my quiver to satisfy my paddling interest and the Kraken and the Coosa will serve as my fishing boats.
2 boats to completely rig and a few upgrades on the Coosa might keep me out of trouble until the spring.
Ive got permagrin just thinking about the rigging work ahead.

Still hunting for a crossover boat but that project will need to wait.

Glad that you figured out the next kayak! The rigging part is something I get great enjoyment out of as well. I wish I had enough room for multiple kayaks, I would have one for every situation if I could and it sounds like you’re on your way!

 Seahawk green.

My rack space is not unlimited and Ive had to make some tough decisions to make space for the upgrades, but I am hoping that I end up with a well rounded quiver for my current location and interests.

Ill be doing business with Sierra South Mt Sports. Got right back to me and answered all of my questions.
Jackson's rep was also quick to respond to my contacts questions regarding color requests and timeline.
