I've been thinking of adding simple mods to the kayak cart that would make it easy to dolly around a big cooler/ BBQ and such on the beach. Doesn't seem like it would be very hard but looking for ideas.PVC would be too weak and metal would be hard to work with.

EMT conduit. 10' for $4-6 depending on 1/2 or 3/4", get it at Hensels/Schafers. You can rent a bender from Don's for $5 or buy one at Hensels for ~$45.

That looks like a luggage cart ties across the top of a wheeleez.

EMT conduit looks like it could do the job. Something I could simply clip in and secure is what I'm after. I'm off to the hardware store Friday.

Bimini mounts fit onto conduit with a little sweet talk and a heat gun.  You can get the bimini mounts at Englund.

I have just put a medium-ish cooler over the top of the Wheeleez cart and used webbing straps on it. Worked OK, way better than carrying the cooler a 1/2 mile. Just set it off center and used the handle to pull it.

I had to have someone hold it while I lashed it due to the off-center loading. Doug's way would work better, I was just needing something in the moment.
