Anybody heading over HMB for crabbing?
Would be nice to go with someone with knowledge of the area since this would be my first at HMB.

Come join us at Doran beach.
There will be at least 100 of us there.  Plenty of knowledge (and food) to share with you.

Unfortunately I will be around HMB that weekend and can't make it to bodega bay for the crab fest.

The only advice I can give is to not drop traps anywhere near the mouth of the harbor.   Pay attention to the boating lanes and make sure to not drop in the paths that boats are taking to go in and out.  Head south and look for flat sandy areas on your sonar.  Good luck and let us know how you do.
If you ain't first, you're last.

Great advice. Thank you.
I will upload pix and send report if the bounty is fruitful.

Nice!!!! How was the swell?

4ft lazy swell. Wind picked up by 2pm, coming from the north. Which made it a work out paddling back to the launch site.

I was thirsty after so I headed over to Old Princeton Landing for glass of yummy stout.
