Second tournament in a row that I didn't even bring my kayak to! Had a great time chillin' with my dudes.

Congrats to Raydon and MAJOR props to Raydon and Bernard for keepin' the PIF Love flowing.

In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Great photos!  Wish I could have stuck around longer but I had a fantastic time while I was there!

I had a great time. Fish tacos were great as always. Conditions on the water were a little sketchy. I was glad to be in the Wilderness Thresher 140 Rob loaned me. I like it so much I'm getting one of my own. It really is nice feeling stable when things get bumpy. I was able to get a decent Verm and ling on tournament day. One for the taco shack and one to take home. Ling Cod with salt and pepper and fried in butter is simple and so good. I had fun hanging out around the fire and sharing the brotherhood. I'm already looking forward to next year! :smt006

I'm a Cen Cal guy, I am a yak fishing addict, am working with a couple of hulls purchased used, and am trying to finish my 12 step program like the rest of you.  :smt012 Oh, best of  luck with that  :smt044.

Hey, what a great time I had at Ocean Cove. Saw some peeps I met B 4 and met some new ones. Ocean Cove was a bit more rocky on the water than I am used to, but I didn't end up in the drink [cough! cough!]. I caught a few rockies (including a China cod), and some small blues, but nothing really noteworthy. Thanks for your acceptance and comraderie!

Here's some random pics that I shot over a 2 day period.

Blue rockfish jerky to chew on (made B 4 I left home).

Went over some bumpy road(?) on our way back through Sebastopol, and had to execute an emergency yak trailer repair at a Lowe's.

Slow trip home, but here I am!

Found a green folding camp chair near where the taco shack was set up. If it was yours please PM me and we can figure out how to get it back to you.

Had a great time camping and hanging with everyone. Its always humbling and encouraging to see the generosity of our NCKA community. Fishing was awesome, but hanging its always the people that make these events special. Thanks to Ruben and crew for a top notch event. Props to Raydon for donating the cash to help out Amos and his family. Class act all the way around. Till the next one!  :smt006

As always have a great time at Simply Fishing. Ruben thank you, and all your  volunteers who put this tournament together. Fished both Friday and Saturday water was questionable but doable. It's just fun listening to the radio as people begin to lose their gear and the comments made. Hope to see you again at Simply Fishing next year.
