Fishing was great, the catching was a little slow! However fish were still be caught and it was a great day on the water.
this was my first fishing event I attended, and I hope to be at many more.
I was one of the many that didn't catch anything but that was OK. I had a strategy to fish deep based on my research and that strategy proved to be faulty as most fish were caught shallow. Oh well. I've still got quite a bit to learn when it comes to king and kokanee fishing.
Really bummed I missed this event. Been having issues breathing again and I have a scheduled surgery on Tuesday. You were sorely missed Mooch!! Take care of yourself and do what you have to do so you wont miss another event!! :smt002
Anyway, I'm glad that there was a great turn and many thanks to Ricci and Co. for making this event possible.
Congrats to the winners ! Scott the "Trout Whisperer" seems to be dominating the trout scene. I don't know why his nickname is "GreatBass" :smt102
Let's see more pics!!!!
A big congrats to all who were able to score a target fish!(especially if you were on a cool yellow scrambler)Tony you mean this kid?

Congrats to All who came and joined in and to hell with those who "flaked" = it was your loss and you were missed. :smt002Adam... don't rub salt in my wound. It already hurts. I knew I missed out. My mother-in-law threw a last minute birthday party on Saturday for my wife and I even had relatives in town from Tahoe. Sneaking out to Berryessa to fish would have killed what little WAF I have for the rest of the year.
......and the FOOD was, well, very, very good!! = another successful NCKA Hook up, a BIG Hook up!!
Mooch, I was a lil bummed you didnt make it as i was really looking forward taking you out on my boat to show and explore berryessa w/ you but staying home and taking care of your health and seeing you at the next hookup is WAY More important and glad you made the right call....I just wanted to let You, Marvin, And the rest of the NCKA Family know that we were able to donate and collect a big $156 dollars for you and marvin to help you guys out! We love you guys and hope we all can keep the good times rolling with yall...Looking forward to next big event and doing it all over again. You and Marvin in my prayers bud and i hope tuesday's surgery goes well...pm whenevr you can bud, ricci.
I remembered some spots that seem to always hold fish. Hit up two of those spots and things haven't changed as the girls caught a half dozen chunky bass at one of my super duper secret spots. :smt044Nate, I heard your girls gave the crowd a lesson on how to catch bass with redworms. That's so cool. I'd love to see more pics.
Hope to post a few pics when we download them.

Since you and your family were on a zodiac, I didn't even know you were NCKA. I could've hit you up with a few diving tips if I knew who you were :smt003
Btw, I only see thumbnails when I click on the pictures.

I need to get a sticker that says "NCKA wannabe" for my inflatable yacht. After seeing all the kayaks, my daughter wants to go in a kayak next time. We have them, but a zodiac is so much easier for a couple restless kids.
I'd be happy to make up answers for whatever diving questions you might have. :smt003
