My winter project is going to be mounting my fishfinder and replacing the old 8-D cell battery power source.  I remember seeing a post with pics explaining `how to' do this, but I can't find it.  Can anyone help me out with this?

Thanks,

Jody

Clean install...but he should've used a cable clam instead of rubber stopper all by itself. See West Marine for more.

I don't think a cable clam would fit inside the base of a Humminbird unit.  Functionally I thought the stopper/grommet was kinda cool, but looked like a good way to lose a finger...razor knifes...yikes!
