Hey all,
Salmon is starting to show up on the Sac and the American river, and while I'm not new to salmon fishing, I am new to yak fishing for salmon. I was hoping to find someone that lives near by that might want to team up and head out to do some fishing. I'd like to try using Kwikfish and silvertrons/spinners or whatever other methods are effective. Just looking to learn and get onto the fish with someone that's willing to share a little knowledge. I live pretty close to Camp Pollok and can easily launch from there (its free!). PM me if ya are interested.

Also I was hoping that some of ya guys might want to share some methods on river fishing for salmon from a kayak. I'm pretty eager to learn. Any help would be appreciated, or you can point me in the right direction. How do you guys do it? Thanks!

throwing spinners while drifting is very effective.  anchored up and dropping kwikfish and silvertron style also works.

Just remember the limit is 1 this year.  I'd contact one of the Sac Crew guys - the american is a kick to fish.

Amy and I might sneak out and fish the river this fall, in between other obligations.
If we have more than a few hours notice to give I'll post up.

I’ll be out a few times. Would like to hook up.

Used to guide out of a drift boat I no longer have and have started using my kayak
