Does anyone have any opinions on the new hobie live well V2? They seem awfully big and bulky. Are they even worth checking out? What are the best options out there? I have a 2014 revo. Not even sure it would fit

I have a gen 1 and it's kind of a pita, (gotta siphon with your mouth occasionally), and there's some corners in it that fish tend to hide behind, but other than that it's great,I  think they fixed most of the issues I listed with it in the v2

So are you carrying a hose to connect to the pump to siphon it?  You shouldn't have this issue, unless maybe the pump is messed up and too weak?  I've never had to siphon mine.  Just turn it on, pedal forward a bit and its should be flowing.

Honestly though, the V2 design does look better.  V1 had a shitty switch that would corrode so you'd have to switch it out otherwise it would get into the wires and corrode all the wires down to the pump.

Haven't had corrosion issues with mine yet, but yeah I carry around a tube to get it started.  Might have to look at it again to figure out why it wont start when i pedal forward.  The v2s definitely look cool just haven't seen anyone that has one yet partially due to the price point.

You won't see it on the outside at all.  I didn't notice anything until it stopped working and then once you take it apart, you will see the mess. Usually right underneath the switch where the wires are connected, I am almost certain there is corrosion starting there if you've used it in the salt even a couple times.

Thanks for the info. Im thinking about getting one of the V2 tanks. They are a bit pricey though and I haven't checked the dimensions to see if it would fit. I heard about the corrosion issues on the switch of the original tanks which is a bit of a turn off. Thanks again for the info
