I've got a Scupper Pro TW for sale. I'm replacing it with another Scupper Pro, but this time a Classic. Boat is speedy, and in my opinion plenty stable if you 6' tall, or under 200 lbs. Heck, I can stand in the thing and pole along to look for bass. I normally paddled with a 2" pad under the seat, further raising the COG. You do have to keep your wits about you though, this is not a 33" wide poly-whale.

The hull is an older version, but has been babied. Very few scratches to the bottom.

It comes with an older Ocean Kayak seat that still has years of service left in it.

Additional rigging includes a flush Scotty mount in the round recess at the front of the cockpit

two flush mount rod holders behind the seat that look like these, only with 4 bolt holes

There are two side handles as well.

Lastly, it currently wears a Humminbird 383C fishfinder. This was a Father's day gift, so it's not staying in the boat. However, that would leave 5 unsightly holes in the cockpit. My intent is to pick up an inexpensive Matrix. However, if you didn't mind the ugly holes, we could work something out.

I"ll post real pictures soon, but here are some teasers from the swamped kayak rescue session.

$575 with the fishfinder (Matrix 10 or 12). I'll leave it up here for a week with real pictures, then off it goes to Craigslist. Oh, and I can deliver between Auburn and San Jose.

Regards,
Scott

Sold to Mr Mairey. I'm sure it will serve him as well as it served me.

Is this what I can expect to happen to my kayak if a 500 pound sea lion hops on board my kayak?

It would be an insult to SurfingMarmot to say yes. I'd expect much more of an effect. What with SM weighing less than 200 lbs ( I think), and a good sized bull sea lion in the 1K lb range.
