It's ~40/night for dry, a bit more for hookups.  Prices change but that'sballpark.  It's not so much a question of if its worth it - it's the only game in town.  There's BLM land for dry camping a few miles up the hill but that's not really worth it.

There is always space available if you are dry camping.

If you are talking about for the GS tournament, that operates differently.  In the past it has been $22/pp for Friday and Saturday night for dry camping and regular rates for the other dates.

I thought it was like $26/person/night last year...

For GS it's a group area - it's generally a great deal.

I've always wanted to spend a weekend up there camping/fishing, whats the best time of year for salmon?

And is the launch area in walking distance from the campground?  ie, Can we wheel our kayaks on a cart or do we need to load them up on the car and drive over? Looks pretty close on google maps...

Thanks!

Salmon are either there or they aren’t. It can be a scratch bite or WFO. You can wheel from the campground to the launch if you don’t mind the hill climb after a long day on the water.

Very close, but "hill" might be an understatement!  :smt044

Campground is only a couple hundred yards from the ramp, but hill to beach is steep. You could load yak on vehicle and drive down, but limited parking at ramp. During events, DO NOT park at ramp, it fills quickly and leaves no room for tractor to launch boats (harbor District has lease to that property) we are guests. If you need assistance with hill, give me a call and I can tow you up (look for 3wheeler on beach) except during event.
Jack usually charges $25 per person during event, but $40 per site the rest of the year for tent sites and a bit more with hook ups.
