No you are not!  A couple of seasons ago, fishing off Fort Ross, I watched an IK fisherman do a race for his life (or at least saving himself from getting wet) after a black's spike holed one of his chambers.

I would totally buy a non inflatable version of that if it has shaped-for-tracking-straight hull and can be carried like a normal paddleboard at 30lbs for 1599+ tax..
