Randy's Treefish
-
I'm very jealous, we don't get those up here and they're missing from my "species I have caught" list. One of the prettiest of rockfish in my opinion.

Randy's is still there, Brian. Come on down and we can go look for him again.......... :smt004

Caught 5/30 in el sur grande in 80ft. I've caught a few down there but this is the biggest. Eating it for dinner tonight to see how they taste.

Ate one... never had a desire to eat another. :smt001
Not bad, just nothing special and their yield isn't very good. Some areas we dive have a pretty healthy population of them.

Cool fish! I don't think I could ever keep one, though, 'cause they look too much like my Tiger Datnoid!

I agree, I've yet to catch another fish that puts on lipstick before you get it to the kayak.
Most RF I catch just have the "I'm about to barf...in your lap" look on their little spiny faces.
