One of the reasons why I couldn't make it to Albion this year was because I promised my wife a long time ago that I would run the Wharf to Wharf race with her and my two daughters.

Ana and I rocked our Team Mooch jerseys and I know Joel was out there with me enjoying the sun, the ocean scenery and checking out the female runners on the course.  :smt004

I actually ended up doing a Wharf to Wharf to Wharf...

Dropped Ana and Valentina off at the start in Santa Cruz, drove back and parked in Capitola at our old house, put Jayme in her stroller and ran the 6 mile course back to Santa Cruz pushing her.

Met up with Ana and Valentina by the start, turned around and ran the 6 miles back to Capitola pushing Jayme.  :smt001

Besides a lot of sore muscles I also got some serious WAF for not flaking on my promise to my family and heading to Albion.

I always have a good time when I put on my Mooch jersey...hope we made you proud buddy!!

Next up for Team Mooch is the Nike Women's Half Marathon in October. Will also be rasing some $$ to help find a cure for Melanoma for that event, and will be doing the race in Joel and Connor Cockerham's memory, and in honor of Robin Tsuji.

Sincerely,

Jim
