Just a quick clarification for the community...

Pay It Forward (PIF) is an annual event (paddle and fundraising raffle) organized by the A-Hulls.

The $ raised went to Mooch and Shicken in past years, and in 2014 is going to help offset medical costs for bp's (porky's) daughter Hailey who has been in and out of Stanford ICU with multiple medical conditions...

Starting in 2014, PIF also receives $ from AOTY and DOTY registration fees.

In the past, and currently, there have been other fundraising events that have helped raise $ for PIF (Ravensblack's and Baitman's race, G-Whiz's GoPro raffle, GS-8 Silent Auction, Sledge's HotTub raffle etc).

PIF welcomes $$ from any and all fundraisers, and we would LOVE to help out with every event, but just dont have the resources to do it...we have a hard enough time coordinating the actual annual PIF Paddle/Raffle (and the AOTY/DOTY reg fees that BigJim handles).   :smt002

We will, of course, try to lend a hand and support any event that benefits PIF and the NCKA community.

Bottom line though...if you want to do a fundraiser to help raise $ for PIF that is great but you will be ultimately responsible for it and for making sure all $ raised gets to the PIF recipient.

The A-Hulls are a fun loving group of people, and we may not seem very serious when you see us at the beach or OTW, but we take PIF VERY seriously and want to make sure that nothing tarnishes the hard work and good name that PIF has within the NCKA community.

I hope this makes sense...if you have any questions or concerns, please post them here so we can discuss.

:smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Well said Jim.  I haven't made it to a PIF yet but hope to make it this year.  Thanks for all you do for "the family".
