I got a curado k on a dobyns fury is a nice paired setup.  My fav setup is the curado on a cranking megabass rod.

I bought a half dozen new curados when I started fishing bass again.  Mix of 200i's, 200hg's and an x70.  The 70 has been nails.  The i's and hg's.....3 out of 5 have a nasty high pitch whine/screech and cast like crap.  I have to go through em this winter, have new bearings on the way, hope that resolves the issues.  Ergonomically, i like the feel of them a ton better than the older d/e models but kinda bummed on performance.

If i had to do it again, Id be buying concept c's from 13 fishing.  The one i do own has been rock solid and buttery smooth.  (Not the same with the A3 though, bought three, one has issues, in a 300 size reel id get a tranx lol).

that's odd,I have a i series curado and use it strictly for stripers in the salt, doesn't make any noise, cast fine.i just think the older models are better built
