Simply Fishing Group Campsite Signup

I need a spot if one comes up. Jeep and a tent.

Depending on when you arrive there will be lots of spots available. It has been suggested that everyone show up and there will be room. You might have to share a picnic table, but with all the good will in NCKA there is sure to be people willing to share. The group sites have a fence around them and are limited for space. With the fifteen reservations we have I think there will be some table sharing for us also. If more room is needed I'm sure everyone will make sure that no one is left out.

I'll be there Friday by 7' hopefully earlier. I'll share a table with as many that can fit.

Then I will show up, and hopefully there is room.  Just need room for my minivan (no tent). Take care of payment now? or at the event?  If it turns out there is no space, I'll try to grab a site closest to the group site. Thanks!

At the bottom is what Ruben said. The group sites are all fenced. You'll want to look for room in the regular sites. It won't be an issue unless the campground full sign is up. If that happens I guess just look for a site with some extra room. You would pay for camping when you arrive since you can't reserve the regular sites.

Even if it says campground full, there is still plenty of room. This campground does not have numbered or designated spots. Its wide open and there will be room. If someone is actually manning the kiosk, tell them that you are joining people who are already there. Otherwise, just drive in, find a spot and go back to the store to pay for your camping and get a tag for your windshield. I am gonna set up the tacoshack on Saturday and do fish and chips for the masses. Please bring me any fillets you can spare.

Do you just set up camp along side the road or share someone's site? I agree there is empty space between sites, I just didn't know they will let you set up and camp there. I just figured that the campground full sign means they aren't letting any more people in. I know some campgrounds use a camp anywhere policy during the tournaments. I hadn't heard that ocean cove was one of them.

OC has a camp anywhere policy every weekend.

That's good to know. I was thinking about camping this weekend.

According to Ocean Cove, once the full sign is up no more people are allowed to purchase a site. If you are going in to join someone in a site, you can pay and get in.

Not sure if I am going to make it now since something came up but if someone is interested in taking my spot in the group site let me know. I'll take $50 for 2 nights

You posted in the group site topic. We can't really do site share because of the way the campground charges for the group site. They charge $54 per vehicle for the weekend. I don't know if they would do a one night only being that we have the ten minimum. You might be better off asking in the Simply Fishng topic. There is supposed to be a spot in the group site opening up for Friday and Saturday. If no one else claims it he might sell you Friday night only.

Sorry. That's why I'm trying to avoid handling the cancellations and changes. Some of the payments don't have screen names attached along with my lousy memory leads to a lot of confusion. That's why I post it here. I figure I'll hear about it when I screw it up.
