I have an 2012 outback and love the stability. I go places many won't go. the washing machine effect doesn't bother me as I'm a small light guy.

i know this is an old thread, but check this out. Under 12 and pedal driven, you said you would be all up on it if it has a driven pedal look at that. i just ordered me one cant wait to get it.

Some nice features, but that whining noise when pedaling (or running the motor) would drive me nuts. Also seems pricey, even compared to a Hobie.

I was told by a good source that the pedal/motor drive combo will run around $3000. Then all you do is add the kayak.
