After the Fred Hall Show, Malibu Kayaks left Joel "Mooch" and I with a Malibu X-Factor and an Extreme to help us get more familiar with their boats.  We also agreed to make it available to local NCKA members to take out and test paddle.

If you're sincerely interested and want to demo either kayak, PM me or Mooch.

Could you bring it up to lake Sonoma I will provide a place to stay and food.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Mooch was kind enough to bring the X-factor down to Santa Cruz for a demo ride.  We ended up heading out to the mile buoy and I was really able to get a good demo ride!  Thanks Mooch!!

I was really liked the stability and storage of the X-factor and the speed was just fine for me.  I ended up buying an X-factor from Sean at Great White Kayak Company.  Great buying experience, and for me, I would rather my dollar goes to a small business and to one of our own NCKA'ers.  I live in the Santa Cruz area and Sean was willing to drive the Kayak about an hour south of Ukiah to save me alot of driving...Thanks Sean!

Now I'm looking forward to getting out on the water and fishing with fellow NCKA'ers.  See you out there!

note:  my wife was the one who said  "get the kayak you really want"  That's all I needed to hear.  I guess that would be high WAF.

I'll be interested in paddling the Extreme this spring at mendo sometime.  I'm thinking it will be a good lake boat with the Gator Hatch for Carson to ride on next summer.
