Post up areas you would like to fish and we can pick one as the date gets closer based on weather conditions and any fishing intel.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

I'm in, I'm in!
My vote is from Montery to SF just cause I'm coming from the SC mountains
Half Moon Bay Tides -
Low 6:00am 3.03 High 12:00 PM 5.62
San Mateo - pescadero or San Gregorio (fishable beach acess probably only south of the parking lot)
Pacifica - Lindamar , muscle rock
Santa Cruz - Manrisa
Santa Cruz South - ? Sea side area? Haven't fished but hear its fishy.....

I got an extra home made striping basket if needed.

I'm going to build one this week i think, but might have to take you up on that for the day if i dont get to it.  I like San Gregorio area. Good access and not too hard to get to.

Just fyi...
San Gregorio (Parking lot does not have access to the beach. Blocked by the creek. You can reach the beach by walking down the path at the south end of the highway overpass, or park at the sunbather parking 300 yards north of the state beach parking [open at 10am]. Fishing is usually more productive on the north side of the parking lot.)

Linda Mar is not a fishing friendly beach, especially with a large group. Overrun by surfers.

I assume we're wearing waders so i usually just go through the creek. As for parking, I just park at the lot by 1 and 84. Some of my biggest perch come from the north side of that beach.  Linda mar can be okay but is usually a striper beach. RV's or Apartments are better usually.

Santa Cruz is way too south for me.  That is a 4 hour drive one way.  It needs to be further north for me.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Santa Cruz is going to be about an hour and a half for me too. And especially with beach traffic as well.

Ugh, high surf and fly fishing generally not a good mix. You want to wade in order to get ANY distance, but don't even want to put the ankles in the water. Not to mention the perch generally become dormant on those days at least for me.

6-8 foot swells?  No thanks.  I usually go chest deep at times.

I personally won't be going.  If yo do go, please be extra safe.

Yeah.........
I'm getting wet! Santa Cruz for me protected from the north swell looks doable north of Manresa.  Besides I got to try out the new rod!  Lets defenetly plan for something moving forward.  Perch fishing only gets better from here on out.

No bites hu?  :smt006 Not even the locals? Swell gets them feeding a long period gives us time to fish.  Well there should be some structure developing.
See you out there
