Sounds like a fun project-- I'm curious to hear how it turns out.

...just buy an AI.

When I read your shopping list, ex-kayaker, I have to admit that was my thought. A used AI can be had for considerably less than a new Revo, as long as you are OK with the old-style seat. Harder to store, though.
Wanted to buy: Stealth ProFisha 575 or 525

Turbo fins installed, good upgrade, feels like i got a little extra dig and can slow the cadence down a bit.  Also helped when i needed to sprint through current.

H bar installed on the rail with a big ol hobie bazooka launcher.  H bar is a little flexier than id like it to be.  I was only able to get a backing plate on one side of it due to screw length and access.  A lone washer isnt very confidence inspiring, Ill be back inside of it figuring out a solution this week.  The rocket launcher is kind of beastly for fw usage but it works.  Need to test it on a drag burner before giving the setup a thumbs up.  It is easy to fish though.

An AI is definitely not the yak for me.  Ill be using this boat for quick strike missions out on the delta and local lakes for bass, stripers and maybe trout.  The sailing stuff, just some fun goofing around thatll i'll probably try a couple times a year.
