Since I am not using the pedal drive I am installing a standard foot controlled rudder. The instructions are generic and not very helpful. The video I watched was for installing a rudder with the hand control lever. It showed a short bungee with a square at one end to put a handle screw through for installation. My rudder kit has the short bungee but no way to attach it to the screw in the rear handle and no instructions either. Anyone have a clue on how the rudder keeper bungee is installed?

That square piece threads on to the bungee and the hole in the center is for one of the rear handle bolts to go through and fasten to the kayak. Take a good look in the rudder kit for the square piece you may have not seen in the rudder kit or contact Wilderness and explain your situation and they will more than likely get you one.

I didn’t find it. When I went to install the rudder lift line bungee it was way too long. So I took the shorter one that I thought was for the tie down and installed it in the turtles for the lift line. It fit fine and left me with a longer bungee for the tie down. I tied it to the handle, installed the hook and cut off the excess. Good enough, plus it makes the bungee pull straight down instead of towards the edge of the handle.
