Bumping this to try and get some more positive energy, good vibes, thoughts, prayers etc for Robin...

e2g posted on FB a few days ago that an MRI revealed that the melanoma has spread and that she now has several tumors in her brain, and that thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated...

My heart is breaking for Robin and Eugene and Nathan and their whole family, and I have told Eugene and Nathan to just me know if there is anything that I or PIF can do to help out at all...

Sincerely,

Jim

thanks folks, it means a lot. BigJim, thanks for reaching out to Tracy, a mother/activist. She lost her son (and Nathan's classmate) to melanoma. She emailed us to ask if she could help and literally we were trying to sort out a huge SNAFU on the referrals to get into UCSF for brain surgery/radiation consult.  She emails her contacts and in a day, we have the appointments, and we are good to go. The relief in not having to deal with that is HUGE.

Robin has been on a new drug Keytruda for about a year, better known as the "jimmy carter" drug. Worked for him, not so much for Robin. First they slice or nuke the brain tumors, then decide what to do about the rest of her body.

on a side note, you gotta keep your sense of humor. So the tumor affects her left side, so it was dragging a bit. Then the drugs she is taking make her ravenously hungry. We are binge watching the walking dead. We looked at each other about the same time, and started cracking up. She is a living "walker."
