Title: Stani Skunk with pics and video

Went out last week, water was pretty stained. Had one fish come up to the surface and hit my fly but it didnt stick.

Sorry to hear about the skunk but talk about beautiful scenery. Where exactly on the Stanislaus is that ?

Reminded me a lot of the skinnier water above Knights Ferry as well. Pretty place for sure !

   wow sweet looking water!!! you could of put a dog turd with a hackle on it and if i was a fish i would of ate it!!!! i love it.. thanks for the post  JB

Great pics , sorry to hear about the skunk, it has fished very well for me recently. Careful if in there solo, I slipped and slid down and almost went off a 15' boulder a couple of years ago.

PM me and I'll give you some tips for that section, this is my favorite time of year to fish it. With the coast blown out I'll probably be back soon.

Check out the fish on-fly gear at the nest and nursery on Facebook those guy are killing it on the lower stanislaus

I'm working in Oakdale tomorrow morning, so I might shoot up here for a few hours and play around after.
Should be there from noonish until dusk.
Edit: I won't be fly fishing. I'll just be flinging worms.

Well, got up there and saw the signs stating artificial single hook barbless. Not prepared for this. Went home.
