Just Picked up a 2008 Hobie AI

Hello,  I just picked up a used AI.  I don't even know how to use this thing.  I would like to go out with a group of you guys.

Welcome Jimmy. Read the article I wrote in the sailing section. There are 2 hookups so far, Berryessa and Monterey. I may add another hookup for the San Pablo res opener 2/7/15 depending on the wind conditions. Trout trolling usually sucks because the water is heavily stained but it is the the best sailing lake in the east bay for an AI. Del Valle is also an option but there are a lot of wind shifts and narrower than SPR.

I also live in San Ramon. May be in the future we can go together AI kayaking. But now I am also new to AI. So I am waiting to join other AI experts to learn how to sail. Just want to play safely. Been out only once. Did not sail. Still, AI is a fun kayak. Love it so far.

Hello Jimmy,

I want to recommend trying Half Moon Bay, just inside the getty. Wind still blowing nice inside the harbor that's what I did and every now and then I am making progress. Just a thought.
