Count me in but I have a revolution 13 so no sailing. Im planning on shore fishing Friday afternoon, camping Friday night, and launching around 6am Saturday. I will bring chili for the potluck.

GB2-
Considering coming; as a non-sailing, non-Hobie friend, with three sweet beach bunnies. I would fish though. No problemo if that is outside of the scope of the event.
   please let me know, Amos

-p.s. also how much is day use for the bunnies, sorry if I missed that elsewhere, I have never been to Lupine Shores

The event is open to sailors, non sailors, anglers, non-anglers. Just need a head count for the dogs. Hopefully catch some salmon and throw it on the BarB too.

Day use $15
Boat launch $23

It's actually back to its original name "Steele Canyon" not Lupine Shores.

I'll be bringing my girls too: wife, 2 sisters-in-law (adults), and 3 yr old daughter.  Just staying for Saturday as well.  We'll bring some addition food as well.

is the free launch open ?
that would be to launch only, not a good place to hang out.

The free launch at Capell Cove opens at 4:00am. It is real close to the Steel Canyon launch and I don't think it is any more of a drive. The question might be, would you need to pay day use to chill at Steele Canyon? Even so it would save $23.

Does Steele Canyon charge to launch if you don't have a trailer? I called Pleasure Cove and she said I don't have to pay to launch if my kayak is in the back of my truck. Aren't they owned by the same company?

The facilities were spacious and the rec area staff pleasant and upbeat. WX was beautiful, sunny with water surface temps 59-62 degrees. We had a nice day use area all to ourselves and the rates were good. GB2 was on the water when we arrived mid-morning, eelkram and family arrived just before we did and Brewski was on the water early. Fishing was a little slow but that was fine because we had friends around. Brewski did score a couple of bass early. Man dogs, homemade chili, asparagus, and fresh fruit then back on the kayaks with the AI guys doing a little sailing in very light wind. If you thought about it and didn't go you missed a good time. thanks for coordinating this GB2.

The family and I had a great time even though the fish weren't biting. It was great meeting you all there. Thanks again to Scott for putting it together!  See you guys at the next one.

The fishing kind of sucked and so did the sailing but the company was good as was the lunch. Good to see all of the kids and dogs.
