PPickerell..... thanks for bringing the Wavewalker to our attention.  I'm a big fan of pedalling as well as paddling.  If these go a fast as advertised (6mph crusing and over 10mph top speed) then these would smoke Hobie's Mirage Drive.  I'd sure like to see a showdown.

I moved this topic to this "Other Kayaks" section, so it doesn't get lost with all of the other posts.

Chuck, no need for a showdown.  I've seen the WW and a 10 mph sprint pace may even be a bit conservative.  You'll get no where near that fast on a Hobie.

Damn.. that's fast...... I need to test drive one!

If they'd cut the weight and the price in half, I'd be seriously interested.  120 lbs and $2500 makes it really tough for most of us.

I checked these out @ OR....they are really heavy,  but fast!

I still like to paddle, mostly cuz, it just feels right after many years of holding a paddle

wanna try a cheaper pedal boat?

Chuck,
See my del valle shakedown thread in the fishing reports section. These boats kick ass for fishing!
