Let me try to figure that out Goldenarrow, but my first guess would be from the southern most point on the coastal map due east would be the southern boarder.

Its not a straight line.  Look at the boundaries on the maps.  I believe those are county lines, The coastal and inland ones dont neccesarily line up straight across the state.

Sean, your region 3 map includes SLO County.  May I make the suggestion that Monterey County be included but not SLO?

Its not my map, but DFGs.  Whats in/out is up to Bill.  SLO is pretty far south...too far for you?

I've never fished SLO county.  But I live in and fish Monterey county...........and Monterey is definetly NorCal.......y'know?

Cutting off at Lopez Point is the DFG regulations break off point.   I am no expert on fisheries, so this is just a general observation that it seems like an odd point since the next 10-20 miles of coast seem quite Nor Cal'ish.  Including all of Monterey County would include those cool Big Sur launch spots like LimeKiln and Mill Creek.

I will be in regardless of where Bill breaks it off, but since he is still "clarifying" I thought I would toss out the request.

Pt. Lopez is for rockfish and other saltwater things and the regs will cover that.  This is a multi-species affair and hence the bigger footprint of the regions for the overall tourney.  But in the end, its up to Bill.

OK guys and gals here is the deal according to this map there is a line right from the bottom of Monterey County across the state so that is the bottom err southern line.

So Monterey, Kings, Tulare and Inyo are the southern country borders for both fresh and saltwater. Anyone know what that big lake is right on the border of Monterey and SLO county??

Bill Thanks for the clarification regarding the southern border.  Crystal clear.

Let me throw in one more question regarding the eastern border, SPECIFICALLY Lake Tahoe.  Part of the lake resides in NV.  Is the whole lake open?  From a CA DFG/NV DOW, a CA license is valid for the entire lake.

Is the whole lake included in our tourney?  I hope so, as I may be doing a trip this spring.

Thanks,
Stuart

I would think as long as you launch in Calif. your are OK.
