For those of you who like to fish freshwater, Bass-n-Tubes has a complete tourney season (actually 4 different regions), complete with Angler-of-the-Year and Tournament of Champions at the end of the season.  Most contestants fish out of kickboats (there are a few hard core tubers) but yaks are allowed.  Target is black bass (largemouth, smallmouth, or spotted).  Entry is usually $20 + $5 big fish option.  One caveat -- catch must be kept alive for weigh-in.  I use a homemade livewell; others use mesh or wire bags.  I expect to see a few of you out there next year!  (Mooch, MolBasser, etc.)

Rancho Seco will be on my calender. Nice little lake and facility.
The pictures last year were great.

Thanks for the link.

I fished that trail (well a couple of events) way back in grad school in 94-95.

Back then they had Pinto Lake on the schedule in Watsonville, I'll have to look at it.  I've got a live well.....

Sweet, they still fish Pinto.

First event of the Travelers Region season is this weekend (2/25-56) @ Lake Nacimiento (near Paso Robles).  Sounds like we will have a few kayakers at this event from central CA.  See link at top of thread for more details...
