I'd like to try for Alviso Sturgeon on Sat and maybe Steven's creek or Del Valle on Sunday.

I emailed John at the boat school to make sure someone would be around to let us in Saturday if we decided to go there. I will let you know if I hear from him.

If we can't launch at the boat school we could see if the yacht club would let us launch there but we where told they most likely would not. If we can't launch at either of those spots I think we would be SOL.

The Yacht Club is where Tom and I took out, and successfully kept from getting muddy, while you boys were up to your wastes in the thick stinky stuff.  The door didn't lock.  :)

I was also looking at the terraserver map.  Looks like there is a possibility of lauching after a short walk to a loop to the slough.  See the loop to the left of the park ... http://terraserver.microsoft.com/image.aspx?T=4&S=10&Z=10&X=2951&Y=20714&W=3

I wish I could join you guys to take revenge on the sturgies.  I'm up in Seattle this weekend thinking about what to fish for up here.  Sounds like the native steelheads are starting to show.  There's whitefish in the rivers.  And squid in the bays.  Or razor clams at the coast.  Salmon, rockies, and crab seasons are all messed up around here ... maybe even worse than CA.

I really like that terraserver map.  You can see the seem we were anchored in to the left of the middle towers ... http://terraserver.microsoft.com/image.aspx?T=4&S=10&Z=10&X=2931&Y=20733&W=3

I'm guessing we were sitting right on the second crease to the left.

Good luck boys.  Catchem up!

Art and I kinda looked at that area. That pic does not really show the high reeds that are there currently. It might be doable however.

Hi Guys,

We could go surf perch off the beach.  Sorry, leave the Yaks at home.

Unless you want to try some surf landings.

I will check with a guy at work that goes perch almost every day to see if he is still catching them.

If you want to use one of mine you can Ken. I have 2 but I think I would only feel comfortable taking one out.

It just needs a float since I stole one for my anchor. I have everything else you need.

I can't make it out this weekend but have a couple traps rigged and ready to go if anyone needs em.  Ken, practicing the surf landings sounds like a good idea.  I'm gonna need to get out there and give it a go sometime soon.
..........agarcia is just an ex-kayaker

I think I am leaning towards taking the weekend off. I have a few kayak projects I need to finish and a few lures to build.

I would like to grab some crab sometime soon though.
