Chuck- I like the idea of Oakland Airport, unless of course it's another Zoo, like it was at Bencia during Salmon season.  Hmm, so many choices. :smt012  I'm excited to fish in warmer weather!  Tough call.

I seriously doubt it'll be as crazy as Benicia during the salmon run.  If you guys are seriously considering the Oakland airport area, let me know.  I can drive there Thursday afternoon just to check out the parking and launch situation, so I can post exact directions.

Ken (Loomy),

Like I told Art.  That day we were out there was the worst of any day I have been on the water in a Yak. Buck's or anyplace else.

Joel and I were out at Coyote Pt. for Sturgeon and that run a distant second.  We had rain all day, wind and lack of sunshine.

Guys, I don't want to make your choices for Saturday any more difficult..... but I'm stoked!
I just scoped out an easy launch spot (not tide dependent at all) if you want to fish the Oakland Airport / Habor Bay Ferry area.  I talked to a couple shore fishermen who recently caught sturgeon there.  I posted the pics and directions in our "Places to Launch and Camp" section.  Here's the link.

I think I'm gonna give it a shot Friday morning around 9am.  Let me know if any of you are free to join me.

I'm game for Sat. launch at the Airport, Fri. is a little short notice for me.  I just got back for Sacramento and I'd need to unload my truck and repack for fishing, and to launch off the east bay by 9am would be tough. :smt010

This doesn't mean I can't be convinced! :smt004   How many others would join us? or would we have a better turn out on Sat.?

I could still do Bucks if everyones leaning that way, but it seems their could easily be three separate kayak assaults on the bay come Sat.

For what its worth a friend just caught two fat stripers today from somewhere around china camp from the shore!

It's all good :smt004
Spreading out will allow us to discover new places in the Bay Area to fish with our kayaks.  Buck's can't be the only game in town. At some point, we'll eventually find out which place(s) produce best.

I'm sure we'll all be headed to Alviso or the Oakland Airport if that proves to be easier access and more productive.

3 separate groups going out and no one is making bets on who catches the most/the largest?
