Hello, I'm new and about to get into kayak angling.  I plan to head down to Headwaters Kayak and test paddle as many kayaks under $1,000 that I can during paddlefest.  Until then, I am stuck on the bank or wading into a river.   :smt001

Thank all of you for the welcome.  I hope to have a kayak in the next month or two.  Hiking the banks of lakes is good exercise but not good fishing.  My internet research points me to the vibe seaghost 130 or the feelfree moken 12.5.  Hopefully, once I can get some actual on the water research with those two and others in the same price range i will be able to hike less and fish more.  :smt001

There's a nice Trident 13 for sale in the classifieds. I'd take it if I had room for more kayaks.

Snipeworm-I will let you know when I am ready to get on the water.

P-Sherman- thank you for the heads up and I know it is a good deal but I need to test a few kayaks out before I can pull the trigger.  I do agree that it is a great price.

Sounds good.  I plan to be at Headwaters for their kayak demo day on the 21st and try out as many as I can.  The goal is to get some paddle time on the water so I can make a good choice.  Looking at kayaks on the internet can only help so much.  Is that a 15 foot kayak or does wilderness label in inches
