I had one for a while great boat. Very fast had a lot of rocker but allows you to kinda lean into turns so kinda cool.
In my opinion it's simple design is its best plus tons of room for mods and gear again good ride.
Where did he go george

Almost ALL kayaks are capable in the ocean depending on water condition. It all depends on your skill and ability.

rolf99,

you might wanna PM paddleboy. that's one of his favorite boats and he's a wealth of info on rigging them as well as paddling them.

Great boats to paddle. Handle really well in all types of conditions and surf well too.

Not my first choice for fishing. Pretty unstable without forward motion. I liked mine a lot but got tired of hanging my legs over the side to fish. Might be different for smaller paddlers.

Try the original prowler 15 if you can find one.

I loved my dolphin. Best surfing yak I have ever had. Great fishing yak. I caught so many dsmn salmon off that thing one year way back off Linda Mar...
I still see mine around and it makes me all nostalgic.

See if you can paddle one before you buy.
It's a pretty tippy yak compared to a lot of others out there.
That's not saying it's a bad kayak. It just depends on your level of skill.

One of the best yaks ever made, but it does reward some paddling skills.
