Another Outstanding effort by the NCKA and Non NCKA Volunteers once Again...

45 Vets served, 10 VA Support staff, over 20 Volunteers....

I don't have words to explain my many thanks for what you all do in fulfilling all the needs that it takes to make this work...

I can't single anyone out as everyone worked their butts off,  But Raydon stepping in for KayakJack was a monumental task and all that helped him rush that together was a tall order and you guys knocked it out of the park...

  Well Done!!!

You ALL,  always come through and ask for more...  Just an Amazing and Beautiful thing...

  Thank you...

Looking forward to the next one....   :smt004

1st event of 2013 was a success.  I counted approximately 10-12 vets that were repeaters and always look forward to our events.  Several said they are looking forward to the upcoming Kelsey Ranch event in June.   I want to thank all the volunteers that came out. There were several NCKA members and Non NCKA guys that saved my butt with the food service;  Ted of Berkeley Bowl, Jeff U. S. Coast Guard,  Sonny, KayakJames, Mel.  Making a surprise appearance with his patented circlecision on the weinies was Mooch.  He got way too much pleasure out of that. and please forgive me if I did not mention you  and remind me if you chipped in.   I have helped Jack in the past with the food service, but I now have a new and greater appreciation for the time and dedication he puts into making the food work at our events.  Next time Jack sets up his kitchen, either for breakfast burritos, or his famous fish tacos,  go up and give him high five and a thank you.

The fishing was as usual for these events. Slow. Other than that it seemed that everyone had a good time. Lots of kayaks on the water again. No incidents that I know of. I found the fish finally at 60'. Trout and bass. Here are the pics I took.

Danglin Here...  sorry Rob,, had to "Moderate"  :smt077  your first pic,  those vets did not want pics taken,  no worries,  thanks for the strong work as usual and hope traffic was not too bad on the way home...
