I like his videos, but he's not known to make smart decisions.

That guy has over a million subscribed. Doing something right. I hope it pays decently.

His seamanship doesn’t look like it’s improved a whole lot though. He struggles to launch in benign conditions.  Maybe he’s just playing that up for the channel?  Cooking on the kayak in those conditions seems fine, he’s wearing multiple layers so is protected from hot oil spilling, and he can intentionally huli instantly if something goes wrong.

I think a lot of it is inexperience, still.  He's had a few power boats recently and has spent more time on those than the kayak.  In a recent video where he goes out to an isolated rock, he did so via a boogie board.  I think the kayak is worse for his seasickness, so he does that less often.  Just my interpretation from watching his videos and his instagram posts, though.

Wish I had a video of Kayak Jack with a Baby Webber charcoal grill paddling around serving up fish tacos on the water one evening at a HOW event.  What a hoot!  Ha!

That setup has been on ESPN before and might have been on the top 10?  McCovey Cove shenanigans.

I forgot he did that at the cove.  Wasn't that like, Halloween or something?  I was recalling the private bass lake overnight HOW event.  The kids caught bull frogs and had a jumping contest.  Weimarian won!  Ha!  He's the biggest kid I know.

It looks like one rouge wave could have fried his hotdog and melted his yak to his balls.  Open burner between the legs on a plastic boat in the ocean... yikes.
