Kayak newb on the water!

Whats up everyone, Im Kelly (im a guy, haha). 

I got my fishing kayak a few weeks ago with a budy of mine, and we both started fishing together.  I must say we are pretty green in the fishing world not just kayak fishing but its a blast! 

I was turned onto this forum just yesterday while we were out fishing at Negro bar near folsom prison kinda I ran into ATD, a member on here haha.  I have to say I am suprised i never came accross this forum while doing my kayak research, seems like alot of the kayak forums are pretty dead.

Well anyways, here is a pic of my kayak, nothing special other than my Lowrance X4pro that i just installed about a week ago (still learning how to use it though haha) Thats my budy on the left lol.

Haha!  Well i sure hope he had better luck than we did yesterday, didnt manage to get anything.  Wasnt realy fishing the whole time though, kinda exploring and havin a little fun as well.

ATD Mentioned a guy that was really good with the Lowrance FF's but i cant member the screen name or where to look for him on here.  I guess he is local to the sacramento area.  The little advice he gave me yesterday on the FF helped quite a bit but i still need to fiddle with it and get a complete understanding of how it all works, ive never used one before haha.

Welcome and enjoy.  I have yet to hit the water  fishing, but next week  I should be out there.  I have been reading and watching  here a lot and learning lots.   Good Luck. I cant wait to fish !
