Title: First Aid Kit Video
Post by: RHYAK on March 30, 2015, 10:15:33 AM
Doing some spring cleaning and was asked about my first aid kit multiple time. Made a quick video showing what I keep in my kit. Maybe overkill for some of you. However in some of the locations that I fish talking about a good hour till we get help at best. This kit is carried to give us as much help as possible.

Here is a list of all the items included in my kit.
Gauze Multi Size, Gauze Compress, Emergency Blanket, Antibiotic Ointment, Trauma Sheers, Duck tape, Compass, Matches, Liquid skin, Water, Cliff bar, Ice pack, Multitool, Chapstick, Aspirin, Benadryl, Ibuprofen, Anti-Diarrheal, Kerlex, Coban, Cat tourniquet, Quikclot, Bolt cutters, Band-Aids.

I know your a stud and maybe I missed something as I cannot watch the video as I'm out of date and just have not slowed down enough to update, but what about curlex?

That's has been my go to for over 25 years…  great for securing bandages, awesome for pressure dressings, and for people like FishMaster, can double as quick restraints to tie down the unruliest…   :smt044

anyway, I never leave home without it, and good on you to get something out there like this...

Thanks for this post.  It's easy to overlook a good first aid kit when we juggle so much kayak/fishing gear.  I'll be stocking up a similar kit.

CAT tourniquet.  Nice.  I keep one on my PFD.  Practice getting it on with one hand.
